14–11. Launched electrode stun device a. The device is used to propel wire probes which conduct energy to affect the sensory and motor functions of the nervous system. The launched electrode stun device provides the capability for non-lethal incapacitation of an individual at close range. b. The two probes are propelled by compressed gas and are connected to the weapon by 25 or 35ft long high voltage insulated wires. c. The SDZ is contained in figure 14–9. d.
