Shoulder bolts, also known as shoulder screws or stripper bolts, are a type of bolt that have a cylindrical shoulder section between the head and the threaded portion. The shoulder section is larger in diameter than the threaded portion and provides a bearing surface or a stop for other components.

Shoulder bolts are commonly used in applications where precision alignment or rotational movement is required. The shoulder section allows for precise positioning of components, while the threaded portion allows for secure fastening.

These bolts are often used in industries such as automotive, aerospace, machinery, and electronics. They can be made from various materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, or brass, depending on the specific application requirements.

Shoulder bolts are available in different sizes, lengths, and thread types to accommodate various needs. They can be purchased from suppliers in the hardware and abrasives supply group, which typically offer a wide range of bolts, screws, and other fasteners.

When selecting shoulder bolts, it is important to consider factors such as the required shoulder diameter, thread size and pitch, length, material, and any specific features or finishes needed for the application.

Overall, shoulder bolts are versatile fasteners that provide precise positioning and secure fastening in a variety of applications.
