Enhanced Combat Helmet (ECH)
Size: X-Small
The Enhanced Combat Helmet (ECH) exploits the latest lightweight material technology, Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) material to provide enhanced ballistic protection against select small arms and fragmentation, above what is currently provided by the Lightweight Helmet (LWH)/Advanced Combat Helmet (ACH).
Based upon the ACH design, the ECH provides improved field of view, sound localization, and equipment compatibility. With the latest material technology UHMWPE, there is increased ballistic protection against select small arms and fragmentation.
The ECH consists of a ballistic shell, suspension pads (3/4 or 1 inch thick), and 4-point retention system. In addition to the above components, a reversible helmet cover, Night Vision Device bracket, and attachment hardware will be provided for wear. A Quick Reference Guide (QRG) is included for instruction on use and care of the helmet.
