A composition consisting of plasticized resins such as ethylcellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate or other similar polymers with or without solvents or tinting materials. It is used for producing a masking coating in order to shield certain surfaces from receiving finish coatings during spraying, electroplating, and the like, or as a preservative and protective coating for items during shipment and/or storage.
