The system of hardware consisting of a laptop with integrated display, keyboard and touchpad may contain commercial off the shelf components. It may also include a printer, network attached storage device and unmanaged network switch. It is employed at all echelon levels and may be used for intelligence of selected combat arms, air and ground combat support and combat service support units depending on their mission, mobility and intelligence function. It may or may not provide the user with the ability to access software packages, input, process, receive and send near real-time intelligence data and to manage and query the intelligence database.
