A device, usually cylindrical in shape, composed of an internal tube surrounded by an outer jacket. The tube may be straight, coiled, repetitiously bulbous or indented and must have an inlet and outlet for the condensing vapors. The jacket must have an inlet and outlet, in the form of male side tubulations, for the regular flow of the coolant.
