Protection provided may be such as differential current protection, reverse phase sequence connection protection, over-excitation protection, under-speed protection, over-voltage protection, fault protection, under-voltage protection, surge protection, etc. May control the generator(s) operation. Incorporates into a single item the system protection formerly placed at various points in the electrical system.
