The system may be used either in daylight or at night and may also be employed as an aiming device for the rifle. The illuminator may also be applied in the momentary guide flash mode as a guidance signal for approaching infantry, vehicles, aircraft, and the like, to serve notification of the appropriate rendezvous point and/or landing zone.
