A mechanism for amplifying and measuring the displacement of a movable contact point, thereby measuring a dimension or variation from a standard dimension. It consists essentially of a case with means for mounting the indicator, a spindle carrying the contact point, an amplifying mechanism, a pointer and a graduated dial.
