A bolt with a vertical two-piece rod, which is joined together in the active case, extending in opposite directions from the case. The rod slides in guides and is thrown by means of a horizontal cross bar on the inside of the door and may be thrown by a handle, knob, lever, bar or key on the outside of the door.
