A fastener used for clamping a joint assembly. It is designed to be inserted and removed by hand and has sufficient clearance to avoid the risk of seizure. Using portable tool, a pre-determined hydraulic pressure is applied which stretches the bolt along its axis, leaving the nut only requiring rotation to take up the axial stretch in the bolt.
