A device designed for testing the permeability of a waterproof flying suit which is worn to stand the hazards of an accidental immersion. It consists of a mobile frame, a watertight transparent chest which can swivel upon the frame and is shaped like a human body, a water filling unit, control and measuring devices, a mannequin made of rigid materials that is hinged to accommodate the suit to be tested and put in the chest of an electric circuit. It may have a plotting board. The measurement is made while reading the difference of the liquid level after a pretederminated time has elapsed.
