An item designed for accommodation and transport of materials such as soil, stones, chips, wastes and the like. For drainage the item is equipped with a dumping device. The item is equipped with safety devices against sliding and unintended dumping and may include the following additional devices: cover, stacking device, rollers, fixtures for crane, dolly truck or pallet truck and the like. For use as a metal chip container a perforated plate may be inserted above the container bottom to separate coolant from the chips.
