A panel consisting of s single flat-surfaced item which contains contact springs, jacks, sockets, and the like, and is encased in a frame assembly. It is used for connecting to the internal wiring of the electronic equipmetnt in use. It may be designed to accept either nonremovable or interchangeable patchboards that can be programmed with patchords to create the circuit required for a given operation.
