An item of varying shape and size consisting of a metallic body which incloses a nonreusable metallic or nonmetallic disk(s), which is designed and calibrated to burst at a given pressure. It may be used independently, or in conjunction with relief valves to relieve overpressure, and to protect relief valve(s) from corrosive conditions. Excludes VALVE, SAFETY RELIEF and PLUG, FUSIBLE.
