A replaceable device designed to add moisture and remove dust, pollen or other foreign matter from the air passing through it. The removal of particles and the cooling action are accomplished by porous, fibrous or shredded material (metallic or non-metallic) which is suitable for moisture saturation, loosely woven or matted, the shape of which is maintained by stiffening or binding material. It is designed to fit into a COOLER, AIR, EVAPORATIVE or ventilating system which has retaining devices. It may be furnished in a frame or in a continous length.
