An apparatus consisting of four curved, semiround tines pointed at their lower ends, hinged together on top. It has an arm attached to top of each tine, a sheave and other necessary equipment for opening and closing the tines and attaching to the end of a cable, operated by a crane or crane-shovel, for lowering into scrap piles, grabbing, elevating, and moving the scrap.
