An item designed to increase the output of induction coils, ignition coils or magnetos during engine cranking periods by being connected as an auxiliary inductive load in the primary circuit of the induction coil, ignition coil or magneto. The increase is due to an induced current surge when the current is interrupted by another item such as timer, distributor or vibrator.
