Glow Plug Conversion Kit
Upgrade kit for 6V53 engines to convert the air box flame heater system to a glow plug system.
The glow plug system is more reliable and easier to maintain than the air box flame heater system and allows starting at a lower temperature.
The glow plug system is lower maintenance and more reliable than the air box flame heater system.
The glow plug conversion kit includes cylinder heads, glow plugs, electrical harnesses and a new electronic glow plug controller.
Instructions for installing the conversion kit can be found in TM 9-2350-277-13&P in IETM EM 0321.
