Designed to dissipate the energy of low speed bumper impacts and provide protection to the vehicle bumper, body and frame within a specific speed range. The unit combines a charged volume of gas separated from hydaulic fluid by a floating piston or the like, the charged gas volume restores the bumper to its original position after impact within the specific speed range.
