A carrier with a driven tracked trailer. The two units are coupled by an articulated join through which a drive shaft supplies power to the rear unit. The front unit can be detached from the rear unit for independent operation,when coupled steering is accomplished by a relative displacement of the two units effected by hydraulic cylinders. The vehicle is designed for airborne and amphibious employment for all-season off-road movement over various types of difficult terrain under extreme climatic conditions. It is designed to be used as a command post and/or observation vehicle. It may be equipped with office supplies, filing equipment, communication system, observation and range finding facilities.
