A rotatable, headless solid metallic cylindrical item having two or more even number of opposed longitudinal tapered grooves on a portion of its length. It may have two or more difference diameters along its length. One end is processed with threads, splines, and the like for the attachment of another item for importing the required degree of rotary motion to the rod.
