TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 b. Engine Starting and Running Instructions. FRAME 1 1. Open throttle (1) to idle position. 2. Press ENGINE START button (2). 3. When engine starts, adjust throttle (1) to set engine speed to 500 to 600 RPM on speed gage (3). 4. When water temperature gage (4) reaches 160° to 185°F, check oil temperature gage (5). Oil temperature should be 255° to 265°F. If temperature is too high, engine must be repaired. END OF TASK 6-34
