TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 7 Soldier A 1. Check whether there is a captive screw (1) in bottom mounting hole of fuel pump (2). 2. Check whether there is a fuel pump mounting stud (3) on engine. 3. If fuel pump (2) has captive screw (1) and engine has fuel pump mounting stud (3), take out mounting stud. NOTE New or rebuilt fuel pumps (2) come with new preformed packing (4). 4. If fuel pump (2) does not have preformed packing (4), put it on. NOTE If mounting stud (3) was taken out and thrown away, go to frame 9. 5. If fuel pump (2) does not have captive screw (1) and engine has fuel pum p mounting stud (3), slide pump over mounting stud and hold it against mounting adapter (5). Mounting stud should fit through bottom mounting hole on fuel pump. Mounting holes (6) on pump should line up with mounting holes (7) on mounting adap- ter. GO TO FRAME 8 5-178
