TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 b. Flywheel Housing Face Runout Check. FRAME 1 1. Mount dial indicator (1) on crankshaft (2) so indicator pointer (3) rests on flywheel housing mounting face (4). 2. Set indicator dial (5) to zero. 3. Turn crankshaft (2) 360° while pushing toward front of engine. 4. Read runout on indicator dial (5) while turning crankshaft (2). Runout cannot be more than 0.012 inch. If runout exceeds 0.012 inch, check to determine cause. END OF TASK 5-74
