TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 5-7. CRANKSHAFT REAR OIL SEAL AND HOUSING. FRAME 1 1. 2. 3. 4. Put crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) on arbor press table (2), Gasket surface of rear oil seal housing should face down as shown. Lightly coat oil seal (3) with lubricating oil. Start oil seal (3) into crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) by hand. Oil seal lip (4) should face down as shown. NOTE Square, flat metal plate may be used instead of round pressing arbor (5). Plate must be bigger than diameter of oil seal (3). Using pressing arbor (5) with diameter larger than outside diameter of oil seal (3), press oil seal all the way into crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1). GO TO FRAME 2 5-24
