TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 4-81. TIMING GEAR COVER. a. Cleaning. (1) Engine LDS-465-2. FRAME 1 1. 2. NOTE Do not take out dirt and liquid deflector (1) unless it is found to be damaged during inspection. Press two crankshaft front oil seals (2) out of back of timing gear cover (3). Throw away seals. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol- vent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places. Fail- ure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. Clean timing gear cover (3) six screws (4), three nuts (5), and nine lock- washers (6) with dry cleaning solvent and stiff brush. Dry with clean cloth. END OF TASK 4-604
