TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 19 1. 2. 3. 4. NOTE Crankshaft (1) has seven main bearing journals. They are numbered one to seven counting from front to rear of crankshaft. Turn crankshaft (1) one full turn or more in either direction and note biggest runout reading seen on dial indicator dial (2). This is total indicated runout for this journal. Also note the number of the journal. Do steps 2 through 5 of frame 18 and step 1 of this frame again for other six bearing journals (3 through 8). Total indicated runout must not be more than 0.001 inch for any journal (3 through 9) except for number four journal (5). Total indicated runout must not be more than 0.004 inch for number four journal. If total indicated runout for any journal (3 through 9) is more than limits given in step 3, get a new crankshaft (1).
