If readings are not within given limits, throw away part and get a new one. Using gage (1) (internal measuring set) and outside micrometer (2), measure crankshaft pilot bearing inside diameter (3). Using outside micrometer (2), measure crankshaft pilot bearing outside diameter (4). Using gage (1) and outside micrometer (2), measure inside diameter of crankshaft pilot bearing bore (5). Measure fit of crankshaft pilot bearing outside diameter (4) in crankshaft pilot bearing bore (5). Using heavy hammer and bearing installing tool with a pilot diameter of 0.7503 inch, put in new crankshaft pilot bearing (3). GO TO FRAME 18 4-33
