Do not try to do this task unless you are experienced at it or you have an experienced person with you. Check that crankshaft pilot bearing (1) is not cracked, loose or discolored from overheating. If it is cracked, loose or discolored from overheating, go to frame 16. NOTE Readings must be within limits given in table 4-2. Measure inside diameter (2) of crankshaft pilot bearing (1).
