Check that mounting bracket and adjusting strap do not have out-of-round bolt holes. If either part is damaged, get a new one. Check that mating surfaces of mounting bracket (1) and adjusting strap (2) have no nicks or burrs. Fix small nicks or burrs with a fine mill file. If more repair is needed, get a new part. Check that mating surface of mounting bracket (1) is flat. If it is not flat, get a new mounting bracket. Check that adjusting strap (2) is flat. If it is bent, straighten it. If adjusting strap cannot be made flat, get a new one. TO FRAME 2 4-476
