TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 c. Inspection and Repair. FRAME 1 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. GO Check that housing (1) has no chips or breaks. Check for damaged threads in two pipe plug holes (2). Using dye penetrant kit, strong light, and a magnifying glass, check that housing (1) has no cracks. Fix small cracks by welding. Refer to TM 9-237. If housing (1) has large cracks, broken out areas or if threads in pipe plug holes (2) are stripped, get new housing. Check that two pipe plugs (3) have no worn threads or rounded heads. If pipe plugs are damaged, get new parts. Check that thermostat (4) is not damaged. If thermostat is damaged, get a new thermostat. TO FRAME 2 4-418
