TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 2 1. 2. 3. 4. WARNING Face shields and gloves must be worn when using heated cleaning compound. Work only in well- ventilated area. Do not breathe in steam. Failure to use proper precautions may result in injury to personnel. Mix cleaning compound in metal container (1). Put agitator (2) in container and put in thermostat housing (3). NOTE Set air supply at about 5 psi. Use hot plate or other suitable heating element to boil cleaning com- pound. Place container (1) on hot plate and hook up air supply to agitator (2). Turn on heat and when cleaning compound starts to boil, turn on air supply. Allow thermostat housing (3) to boil for about 30 minutes. Turn off air supply. Turn off heat. Rinse housing (3) in hot water. END OF TASK 4-417
