TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 (4) Nozzle chatter check. FRAME 1 1. 2. 3. 4. NOTE Chatter is a normal sound that happens when the valve is open and the valve seat surface is clean. Make sure pressure gate valve (1) is closed. Pump handle (2) and check that a fine spray comes out of nozzle (3) and a chatter sound is heard at each stroke. Do step 2 several times. If spray does not come out or chatter sound only happens sometimes, disassemble, clean and inspect, and repair nozzle. Refer to para 4-40b, c, and d. Unscrew connector tube (4) and take off nozzle and holder assembly. END OF TASK 4-401
