TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 4-39. OIL COOLER AND OIL COOLER COVER. a. Cleaning. FRAME 1 1. 2. Clean oil and gum WARNING Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when solvent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places. Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. cooler cover (1) with dry cleaning solvent. Clean off scale, sludge, with a stiff brush. Dry with clean cloth. WARNING Eye shields must be worn when using compressed air. Eye injury can occur if eye shields are not used. Clean scale from outside of oil cooler (2) with a stiff brush. Soak oil cooler in dry cleaning solvent until oil passages (3) are clean. Blow dry oil passages with compressed air. END OF TASK 4-390
