TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 7 1. 2. 3. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol- vent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places. Fail- ure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. Clean 12 valve tappets (1) in dry cleaning solvent. Clean off sludge and gum with stiff brush. WARNING Eye shields must be worn when using compressed air. Eye injury can occur if eye shields are not used. Clean oil passage (2) using fuel passage cleaning brush. Flush with dry cleaning solvent. Blow oil passage dry with compressed air. Dry out side of 12 valve tappets (1) with clean cloth.
