TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 3 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Check that two pipe plugs (1), square head pipe plug (2), and two valve plugs (3) are not cracked and do not have damaged threads. Check that square head of square head pipe plug is not rounded. If pipe plugs, square head pipe plug, or valve plugs are damaged, throw them away and get new ones. Check that 16 mounting screws (4) and long mounting bolt (5) do not have stripped or damaged threads or rounded heads. Check that 16 mounting washers (6) and mounting washer (7) are not cracked or broken. Throw away damaged screws, bolt, and washers and get new ones. Check that two springs (8) are not cracked or squeezed shut. If two springs are cracked or squeezed shut, throw them away and get new ones. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. D O not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when solvent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places. Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. Check that two plungers (9) have no scratches or burrs. Fix small burrs and scratches with crocus cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent. Polish two plungers with crocus cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent even if they are not scratched. Check that two plungers (9) fit and move freely in bores in oil cooler and filter housing (10). If plungers bind in bores, throw away plungers and get new ones. If new plungers still bind in bores, get a new oil cooler and filter housing. GO TO FRAME 4 4-319
