Make sure you put rocker arm shaft supports (3 and 4) rocker arm assemblies (5 and 6), and rear thrust spring (7) on rocker arm shaft (1) as tagged. Put in two plugs (8) one in each end of rocker arm shaft (1). Hold rocker arm shaft (1) so that locating dowel pin (2) at rear of rocker arm shaft points down. Slide rear rocker arm shaft support (3) over front end of rocker arm shaft and push it as far back on shaft as it will go. Locating dowel pin must fit in notch of rear rocker arm shaft support. Slide rear intake valve rocker arm assembly (5) over front end of rocker arm shaft (1) and push it all the way back. Slide rear rocker arm thrust spring (7) over front end of rocker arm shaft (1 and push it all the way back as shown. Slide center intake valve rocker arm assembly (6) over front end of rocker arm shaft (1) and push it all the way back. Slide center rocker arm shaft support (4) over front of rocker arm shaft (1) and push it all the way back as shown. GO TO FRAME 3 4-268
