Do this frame for all six outer valve springs (1). Check that outer valve spring (1) is not worn, cracked or damaged. Throw away damaged outer valve springs and get new ones. Measure free length of outer valve spring (1). Using spring tester, measure load needed to (1) to a length of 1.67 inches. Using spring tester, measure load needed to to a length of 2.12 inches. Using spring tester, measure solid height of GO TO FRAME 3 squeeze outer valve spring squeeze outer valve spring (1) outer valve spring (1). Table 4-56.
