TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 6 NOTE Readings must be within limits given in table 4-52. The letter L shows a loose fit. If readings are not within given limits, throw away part and get a new one. Intake valves (1) and exhaust valves (2) were tagged so fit of each valve stem can be measured in valve guide it was taken from. 1. Measure and note outside diameter of stem of three exhaust valves (2). 2. Measure and note inside diameter of three exhaust valve guides (3) 1/8 to 1/4 inch from each end of guide. If diameter is different at each end of guide, note biggest diameter. 3. Measure fit of stem of each exhaust valve (2) in its exhaust valve guide (3).
