If readings are not within given limits, throw away part and get a new one. Measure inside diameter of valve guide bores in cylinder head (1). NOTE Early model valve guides (2) are not stocked. Limits given in table 4-47 for early model valve guides are for reference purposes only. Use limits for late model valve guides. Measure outside diameter of new valve guides (2).
