TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 1. Clean carbon from cavity (1) in piston heads. Use crocus cloth. WARNING Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an open flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when solvent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places. Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage to equipment. 2. Clean carbon from piston pins (2) and bore (3). Use crocus cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent. 3. Clean connecting rod bearing halves (4) and pin spring (5), Use cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent. Do not take off bearing identification marking. 4. Clean connecting rod piston pin bearing sleeve (6). Use crocus cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent. 5. Clean connecting rod (7) and connecting rod cap (8). Refer to para 4-3. END OF TASK 4-130
