TM 9-2815-210-34-2-2 FRAME 61 NOTE Main bearing caps (1) with bearing halves (2) and main bearing saddles (3) are called by numbers one to seven counting from front to rear of crankcase (4). Number two main bearing cap (1) has a flat mounting surface (5) for mounting the oil pump. 1. Put number two main bearing cap (1) with bearing half (2) on number two main bearing saddle (3). Mounting holes in number two main bearing cap must line up with screw holes in number two bearing saddle. 2. Coat two bolts (6) and washers (7) lightly with engine lubricating oil. Put in and hand tighten two bolts and washers. 3. Using torque wrench, tighten two bolts (6) to 80 to 90 pound-feet. 4. Using torque wrench, tighten two bolts (6) to 115 to 120 pound-feet.
