Take out two screws and flat washers (1) and take off two tube clamps (2) with flame heater fuel tubes (3 and 4). NOTE Some engines do not have starwasher (6) holding ground strap (5). Take off screw, flat washer, and starwasher (6) and take off ground strap (5). Take off six screws and flat washer (7). NOTE Two tappet chamber cover screws and lockwashers (7) were taken out during fuel filter assembly removal. On some engines three lockwashers (8) are welded to tappet chamber cover (10) and cannot be taken off. Take off three nuts (9) and lockwashers (8) and take off tappet chamber cover (10).
