REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT STANDARDS (MODEL T-136-27) 4-16. General. The repair and replacement standards included herein provide the minimum, maximum, and key clearances of new parts. (See fig. 4-22, 4-23, 4-24, and 4-25 and corresponding tables 4- 1, 4-2, 4-3, and 4-4.) Standards also provide wear limits which indicate the point to which a part or parts may be worn before replacement is required, in order to receive maximum service with minimum replacement. Normally, all parts which have not been worn beyond the dimensions shown in the “Wear Limits” column, or damaged by corrosion, will be approved for service. An asterisk (*) in the “Wear Limits” column indicates that the part or parts should be replaced when worn beyond the limits given in the “Size and Fit of New Parts” and “Wear Limits” columns. In the “Size and Fit of New Parts” and “Wear Limits Columns”, the letter “L” indicates a loose fit (clearance) and the letter "T" indicates a tight fit (interference). 4-17.
