Cracks in housing castings that do not go into screw holes or openings can be repaired. If parts are damaged in any other way, throw parts away and get new ones. Check that carrier (1), front bearing retainer (2), and clutch housing (3) do not have cracks, chips, warped areas or small holes. Check that lever shaft (4) is not cracked or bent.
