REMOVAL NOTE Turn engine to top dead center (TDC) compression stroke for No. 1 piston, and align timing marks. Assistant will help with removal. 1. Remove four screws (9), washers (10), access cover (8), and gasket (7) from rear of engine block (6). Discard gasket (7). 2. Remove two screws (5), camshaft retainer (1), and camshaft (3) with camshaft gear (4) from engine block (6). CLEANING AND INSPECTION .WARNING. Skysol-100 mixture is combustible. Use mechanical ventilation whenever product is used in a confined space, is heated above ambient temperatures, or is agitated. DO NOT use or store near heat, sparks, flame, or other ignition sources. Keep container sealed when not in use. Contact with Skysol-100 may cause skin irritation. Use chemical resistant gloves. In case of skin contact, remove any contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse. Eye contact may cause irritation, tearing, or blurring of vision. Use face shield or goggles when eye contact may occur. In case of eye contact, flush eyes with large amounts of water for at least fifteen (15) minutes or until irritation subsides. Inhalation may cause irritation to upper respiratory passages. DO NOT have food or drink in the vicinity. 1. Clean camshaft (3) with Skysol-100. 2. Inspect camshaft (3) and camshaft retainer (1) for cracks, wear, or damage. Replace camshaft (3) or camshaft retainer (1) as necessary. 3. Measure camshaft bearing journals (2). Measurement must be within 2.5640±.0005 in.
