REMOVAL NOTE Perform steps 1 through 5 for in-vehicle maintenance. 1. Remove spring (2) from brackets (1) and (3). 2. Remove nut (16), washer (17), and bracket (3), with throttle control cable (5) and accelerator cable (4) attached, from throttle lever (18). 3. Remove two screws (7), washers (6), and bracket (8), with accelerator cable (4) and throttle control cable (5) attached, from governor (15). 4. Remove two nuts (10), lockwashers (9), and three leads 54A (12), 770-R (13), and GND (11) from fuel shutoff solenoid (14). Discard lockwashers (9). CAUTION Cap or plug all hoses and openings immediately after disconnecting or removal to prevent contamination to the fuel system. Failure to do so may result in damage to equipment. 5. Disconnect fuel inlet hose (21) from elbow (22). 6. Remove fuel supply line (20) and O-ring (19) from governor (15). Discard O-ring (19). .WARNING. Diesel fuel is flammable.
