ENGINE 1. ENGINE STARTER SWITCH IS ENGAGED BUT ENGINE FAILS TO START Step 1. Check to see if accessory/battery switch is off. If off, turn accessory/battery switch on (para. 2-3). Step 2. Check battery gauge for proper battery voltage (para. 2-3). Service batteries if gauge does not display proper voltage (para. 3-10). Step 3. Visually check to see if battery cables, terminals, and connections are loose, broken, or corroded. Check battery for proper water level.
