WARNING Do not rely on service brakes until they dry after fording operation. Continue to apply brakes until uneven braking ceases. Failure to do so may result in injury or death to personnel. d. After Fording Maintenance. (1) Stop vehicle (para. 2-16) on firm, level surface and disengage front wheel drive (1). CAUTION All parts of vehicle that were in contact with salt water during fording operation must be washed with fresh water a soon as possible. Failure to do so may result in corrosion damage to equipment. (2) Use fresh water to wash all parts of vehicle that were in contact with salt water during fording operation. (3) Notify unit maintenance to service vehicle as soon as possible. 1
